How to Delete and Clean Applications on Windows 10
When uninstalling an application in Windows via the control panel, sometimes not all files are deleted cleanly, there are still leftover files such as temporary files, registry entries, and other leftovers that are still left over. In order to speed up the performance of Windows 10 so as not to slow down, junk files like this must be cleaned.

To clean it, we can find the remaining files one by one, but this will be very inconvenient and time consuming. There is an easier way to cleanly delete applications on Windows by using the RevoUninstaller application.

This application can detect all files that are still left on the computer when an application is deleted. In this post, bingGo will show you how.

How to delete the application until clean

The following are the steps to clean the application in Windows:

1. Open the RevoUninstaller application

First, you must have the RevoUninstaller application installed on your computer, if you don't have it, download it from here: https://www . revouninstaller . com/revo-uninstaller-free-download.

2. Find the program you want to remove

In the main view of the RevoUninstaller application you will see all the applications on your computer, find the application you want to uninstall.

3. Click the Uninstall button

Next, click on the Uninstall button, then wait for the Uninstaller pop up from the application to appear, then select Yes. Wait for the uninstall process to complete.

4. Select Advanced scanner mode

In the leftover scanner files window, select Advanced mode. This is the mode where RevoUinstaller will perform a thorough scanning of all files, folders, and registry entries of deleted applications. If you want to wipe it completely clean, then select this mode.

5. Click Scan

Then click the Scan button, wait until the scan is complete.

6. Delete all registry entries

After the results appear, check all the remaining registry entries by pressing Select All, then clicking the Delete button. Do a backup first if you want in case an error appears after deleting it.

7. Delete all residual files

Then press the Next button. The application will detect leftover files and folders from the application. Once done, you will see the leftover files from the applications that are still on your computer. You can check all of them, then click the Delete button.

Uninstall the program to clean manually (without application)

RevoUninstaller is a very good application, but unfortunately to get all its features we have to buy the pro version.

Some people may find it hard to buy an application that is only used once or twice, therefore Winpreso will provide an alternative way to completely delete applications in Windows until it is clean to its roots manually without software.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Find the application that you want to remove.
  3. Right click => select Uninstall.
  4. Select Yes, follow the uninstall process as usual.
  5. Open Windows Explorer.
  6. Look for the leftover files and folders on the C: \ Program Files, C: \ Users \ Your username \ AppData \ Roaming, and C: \ Users \ Your username \ Local \ Temp.
  7. Delete files and folders associated with uninstalled apps, usually with the same name.
  8. Clean registry entry using a PC cleaner application.
To clean the system registry from residual applications you can do with a cleaner application, the following are applications that we recommend:

To clean registry entries that are not detected by a cleaner application, we can do it manually. You can try this to make sure all the residue from the deleted application is completely clean.

  1. Open the Registry editor by typing regedit in the Windows search bar.
  2. Click on the Registry editor application.
  3. Enter the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software directory.
  4. Look for the entry with the same name as the deleted application, then right click> delete.
  5. Also delete entries in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE and HKEY_USERS. DEFAULT \ Software directories in the same way.
  6. Restart the computer.
In cleaning the registry you should do it carefully, make sure you know what you are doing, if you are not sure whether an entry is really a leftover application or not it is better not to delete it.

After performing the steps above, you can also try cleaning the computer one more time to make sure no junk files remain.

Cleaning junk files in Windows are easy, you can use tools like storage sense or disk cleanup if you want to do it without additional applications.

How to remove an un-installable application on Windows 10

Some applications are difficult and cannot even be removed at all. Every time we try to uninstall it always fails. To fix this, we must uninstall it forcibly.

The first way is to use the RevoUninstaller application as described in the steps above. But if it doesn't work, then we will use the next powerful way, namely by entering safe mode.

Follow the steps below to remove apps that can't be uninstalled:

  1. Press Windows key + R to bring up the Run window.
  2. Type msconfig then press the OK button.
  3. Once the System Configuration window opens, click on the Boot tab.
  4. In the Boot options section, check the Safe boot and Minimal options.
  5. Click the OK button.

  6. Restart your computer.
  7. The computer will start in Safe Mode.
  8. Uninstall the program via the Control Panel as usual.
  9. Enter System Configuration again and disable Safe Mode.
  10. Restart the computer to enter normal mode.
Safe Mode is a condition in which Windows runs in basic mode with very minimal services, this will make all services  programs that are difficult to remove cannot run. So using this technique the program should be able to be removed.

Next, what you need to do is detect whether there is any residue of the program and clean it up to the roots. You do this by deleting files in the application folder and system registry as described above.
